Frank J. Vainisi Jr.

Frank Joseph Vainisi Jr was born on February 5, 1948, at the Oak Park Hospital in Illinois, to Frank Vainisi Sr. and Sarah A. Vainisi (nee Scolaro). He passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024 at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He married Ana Vainisi (Fracchia) on April 27. 1974, at St. Ferdinand Church in Chicago, IL, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2024. 

Frank is survived by his loving wife Ana and children Angela Raquel McKinney (Vainisi) and Michael McKinney, Sara Marie Termini (Vainisi) and Vincent Termini, and Joseph Frank Vainisi, as well as grandchildren: Eli James Termini (14), Anthony Angelo Termini (10), Zoey Rose McKinney (8) and Michael McKinney (7), his sisters Petrina Sclafani and Mae Lewan, nephew Tom Genovese, many nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as an abundance of family and friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Rita Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10 am to 11 am, the Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am. All who attend are invited to join the family for lunch at St. Rita’s Church. 

A private interment will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
