Frank T. Labunski, 68, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015. He was born in Rockford, on March 6, 1947; to parents Edward and Joan (Imeson) Labunski. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and loved watching the "Hawks" with Eddie. Frank loved riding his Harley Davidson, and belonged to the North Texas Chapter. He looked forward to many cross country rides and the weekly dinner rides they made together. He is survived by his children, Jillian and Eddie Labunski; friend, Terri Labunski; grandchildren, Avery and Gavin Labunski; brother, John Labunski; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Predeceased by his parents. Frank's family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. William Edwards and his nurses, the Infusion Room nurses at the Rockford Cancer Center, as well as the 7th floor West nurses at Swedish American Hospital, for the compassionate care they gave to him during his many stays there. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL, 61103. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, Suite 310, White Plains, NY 10605.
