Frank DeVivo

April 27, 1974 — March 12, 2025

Belvidere

Frank DeVivo, 50, of Belvidere, IL passed away March 12, 2025 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Frank was born April 27, 1974, the son of Antonio and Tecla DeVivo. Frank attended Guilford High School, graduating in 1992. He married the love of his life, Daniella Savaiano, on September 20, 2008. Frank worked for the Winnebago County Sheriff Department as a corrections officer from 2003 – 2018. He joined the McHenry County Sheriff Department in 2018. For 22 years, Frank was a dedicated officer that loved what he did and the brotherhood of his fellow officers. Frank cherished spending time with his beloved, Daniella. Frank had a love of international travel and adventure. He enjoyed Puerto Aventuras, Mexico and “The Lake” the most. Frank recently celebrated his 50th birthday in Barcelona, Spain and was able to make one last trip to his country-of-origin, Italy before he passed. There was not an adventure that Frank wouldn’t undertake with Daniella. From hiking in the Amazon or the mountains of Madeira, swimming in waterfalls in Ecuador, Costa Rica & Puerto Rico, or dipping in hot springs in Iceland, to dancing on top of a mountain in Spain or exploring the pyramids in Egypt and other ancient ruins in Mexico, Italy, Turkey & Greece. He enjoyed hiking, biking, exploring in his Jeep, and listening to Van Halen and Metallica. Frank found solitude in the outdoors, often with his dog, Ruger. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him, called him a brother, and called him a friend.
