Frank A. Buscemi

Frank A. Buscemi 68 of Rockford passed away Monday December 5, 2016 in Swedish American Health Center Belvidere. He was born December 23, 1947 in Chicago the son of Frank and Jenny Buscemi. He served in the Army Reserve. He worked in the family business which included State Line Vending and Rondinella Foods. He also owned and operated the Uptown Bar and the Plaza Suite (Rockford’s first night club). Frank, joined AA 14 years ago and remained sober, he helped and mentor many to sobriety. He worked at Rosecrance for 8 years helping many. He loved helping others and did so completely, with love and humor. He has many friends that he leaves behind. He enjoyed life completely, and will be missed. Member of St. James Church.
Survivors include his brother, Sam. Sister-in-law LeeAnn Buscemi. Nieces, Francine (David Magnuson) White, Kathy Jo (Greg) Kindred. Nephews, Frank, Sam and Brian (Sarah) Buscemi. Numerous great nieces and nephews and many cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Brother Vince and sister-in-law Johanna.
Memorial mass at 10am Saturday December 10, 2016 in St James Catholic Church 428 N. 2nd Street. Visitation from 9am until 9:45 Saturday in the church. Private family burial.
