Frances L. Bachman

Frances L. Bachman, 85, Winnebago, died Friday, August 17, 2018 in her home. Born February 4, 1933 in Blairsville, PA, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Barron Williams. Married Lester D. Bachman in Rockford in October of 1954. He died June 2, 1986. Frances was a kind & loving christian with strong faith in Jesus, she built her life around it. Active many years in AWANA, she led many children & people to Christ, baptized many people in the swimming pool hand built by her & her husband Lester & enjoyed friends & family that swam in it. She had a special place in her heart for children. Caregiver to the end for her husband Lester, who died in their home after a long illness. She was employed many years at various factories & retail but loved working at Pleasant Valley Free Church, she had a strong friendship with many members. She even ventured into a wood working business with her sister & made lawn ornaments/rocking chairs. She loved to bake, known for her wonderful pies & banana bread. Her family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice for the loving care she received from them during her final weeks.
Survivors include her sons, Frank L. (Kim) Bachman and Kenneth E. (Marion) Bachman, Sr; grandchildren, Ken Bachman, Jr., Dawn (Kurt) Arndt, Lindsey (Tobias) Owen, Kori Bachman and Nolan Nordenberg; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Anderson and Nancy Rinaldi; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Toinette Myers and close friend Teresa Hubbard. Predeceased by her parents, husband; daughter, Sandra Nordenberg; grandsons Aaron and D.J. Bachman; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Dale Anderson officiating. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
