Frances J. Ratze, 81 Rockford Frances J. Ratze, 81 of Rockford died Monday, October 5, 2009 at 7:25 p.m. at Swedish American Hospital. Born May 24, 1928 in Lisbon, North Dakota to John and Viola (Bishop) Boettcher.  Married Louie Ratze on October 7, 1946. Frances loved being outdoors, painting, flower arranging, and reading. She loved serving and worshipping a risen Savior. Her family was her life. Survivors; Husband, Louie Ratze; Children, Robert (Peggy) Ratze, Larry (Linda) Ratze, Karen (Terry) Kapfer and Roger (Brenda) Ratze; Grandchildren, Michael, Janelle, Lance, Laurie, Angela, William, Jesse, Katie and Ben; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Riverside Assembly of God 4242 W. Riverside with Pastor James Moore, Pastor Truman Turner and Pastor Lance Ratze officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday, October 9, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation will continue from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family or a contribution to the Healing Garden at Swedish American.
