Frances "Chi-Chi" T. Fabiano

Frances “Chi-Chi” T. Fabiano, 95, of Rockford, peacefully passed away on May 3, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1927, in Hammond, Louisiana, the daughter of Nicholas and Carmella (DePaula) Scibona. She married Joseph Fabiano on September 9, 1950, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Chi-Chi worked for Amerock for many years before she became a full time mother and homemaker. She was a charter member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and was active with the Ladies of St. Bernadette and all church activities. She was an avid cook and baker and enjoyed hosting “Pasta Sunday” for her family. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Don) Alfano, Peter Fabiano, David (Judy) Fabiano, and John (Barb) Fabiano; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Osborne, Chris Alfano, Steven (Bijoy) Alfano, Andrea (Max) Zinnen, Michael Fabiano, Sarah (Mark) Wirtz, Jessica (Jamie) Davis, Nicole (Tom) Fry, and Bradley Fabiano; great grandchildren, Alexander, Emmett, and Stella Osborne; Amelia Zinnen; Elijah, Joshua, and Isaiah Wirtz; Jacob, Jackson, and Jemma Davis; and Emma Fry; sister, Lena Marinelli, sisters-in-law, Maria and Marisa Fabiano; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph and parents, Nicholas and Carmella Scibona.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103. A night before visitation will be on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103.
