Folke O.H. Clauson, 83, Rockford, died suddenly at 12:32 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 in his home.nbsp; Born August 20, 1927 in Ranea Sweden, son of Oskar F. and Agnes Nyberg Clauson.nbsp; Married Donna J. Briggs Egeness on February 15, 1969.nbsp; Veteran of the U.S. Navy.nbsp; Employed by Elco Industries for 43 years, retiring as a foreman in 1993.nbsp; Folke was an uncomplicated man who could always be counted on to help others.nbsp; He enjoyed wood-working and fishing and had a deep appreciation for nature.nbsp; He dearly loved his wife and family and had a special relationship with his great-granddaughter, Natalia.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; son, Steven F. Clauson; daughter, Jeanine S. (Dave) Morales; step-son, Brian F. (Caroline) Egeness; step-daughter, Sherri L. (Nathan) Radtke; grandchildren, Jamie (Donahue) Franklin, Kimberly (Angel) Jimenez; step-grandchildren, Salena Ambrosia, Connor M. Egeness, Isabell L. Egeness, Megan, Abbigale and Lucas Radtke; great-grandchildren Jessica and Haylee Fagerstrom, Alan Franklin, Matia Jimenez; step great-granddaughter, Natalia Maelyn Ambrosia.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents and sister, Sonja Lundberg.
Visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
