Floyd Roger Kindstrom

Floyd Roger Kindstrom, 89, Rockford, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Cedarhurst of Rockford, IL. He was born November 10, 1932, in Rockford, the son of Floyd and Martha (Morris) Kindstrom. Roger was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. He married Janice Griffey in Rockford on May 12, 1953. Roger worked at Landmark Printing Company for many years retiring as President. He was a member of the American Legion Lt. C.A. Robert Carlson Post # 1207 for over 60 years. Roger enjoyed fishing, especially while spending time at their summer home on Little Bear Lake in Webb Lake, WI for the past 29 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Janice, his children, Andrew (Kristie) Kindstrom of Bradenton, FL, Lori Kindstrom of Rockwall, TX, and Brenda (Ken) Gates of Warren; his grandchildren, Alexandra (Joe Alberto) Burchyett, Marcus (Sarah Salom) Burchyett, Brian (Tracy) Gates and Timothy Gates; his great grandchildren, Brady and Mikey Gates; his special niece, Cyndi Hoffman; and his sister, Marge Millard of Middleton, WI. Predeceased by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
