Florence K. Palmeri, 84, Rockford, died at 6:25 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 in her home.nbsp; Born May 6, 1923 in Rockford, daughter ofnbsp;Giovanni and Amadea Pompeo DAgostin.nbsp; Graduate of West High School where she played first chair trumpet in the band.nbsp; Married Peter F. Palmeri in Rockford in February, 1946.nbsp; Employed by the Rockford Board of Education for many years. nbsp;She was an accomplished musician, excelling at the mandolin. Her kind and nbsp;gentle spirit was felt by everyone who knew her. nbsp; Survivors include her son, Dr. Russ Palmeri, Asheville, NC; daughter, Marcia Beaumont, Rockford; grandchildren, Laura (Jonathan) Larssen and Aaron Beaumont; sisters, Alesia Giacomazzo and Palma Rinaldo; sister-in-law, Dorothy DAgostin as well as many nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband in November, 1986, her parents, brother, Arthur DAgostin and sister, Elena Giacomazzo.nbsp;nbsp;
Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Cemtery.nbsp; Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Thursday.nbsp; Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
