Florence Gertrude Bianchi, 94, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009, in her home. Born on November 30, 1914, in Rockford; the daughter of Frank and Jennie (Rufulo) Pingotti. She married Angelo Bianchi on Rockford on July, 1934. Florence was always interested in keeping in touch with her Italian relatives and enjoyed traveling back to Italy for visits and because of this her family has maintained their relationship to their Italian family. She loved her family gatherings for pasta dinners every Sunday and shopping on QVC. Florence was a also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Lyn) Bianchi, William (Judith) Bianchi, John (Mary) Bianchi; grandchildren, Gail Bianchi, Jeanne (Franco) Garitano, Brian Bianchi, Vivian (Kevin) Sherman; Buffy (Steve) Lee, Anthony Bianchi, Nicholas Bianchi, Daniel Bianchi, Angela Bianchi and Brooke Bianchi; sister, Dorothy Serotini; sister-in-law, Rosemary Bianchi and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Angelo; son, Richard and sister, Josephine Falgiatano. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Franciscan Friars officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation to be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, June 3 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 and from 9:30 until time of service Thursday at the church. To
