Fidel S. Polanco

Fidel S. Polanco Jr., 66, of Rockford, passed away on October 20, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born in Uvalde, Texas, on June 5, 1957, the son of Fidel and Olga (Soto) Polanco Sr. Fidel enjoyed everything outdoors, fishing, hunting, and barbecuing. He had so much love for his family and was always putting others first. He was a loving, giving, and caring dad, grandpa, and brother.

He is survived by those who loved him most, his children, Fidel III, Mathew (Britnee), Luke, Angelina, and Gabriel; grandchildren, Aubriella, Jacob, Joshua “Little Josh”, and Bella; siblings, Evengelina “Vangie”, Juan, and Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents; son, Joshua; brother, Jessie James Polanco Sr; nephews, Chris Faz and Jessie James Polanco Jr.; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A special thank you to all the family and friends that helped care for Fidel.

Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
