Felix Joseph "Joe" Bretz

Felix Joseph “Joe” Bretz, 61, Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2020, in his home. He was born on March 3, 1959, in Rockford, the son of Leander Henry (Vernell Marie LeCompte) Bretz, Sr. Joe was raised a Catholic and would find peace in watching Mass on television. He was an altar boy as a child. Joe was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed listening to music.
Survived by his sisters, Kathy Larrabee and Krista Theriot and her husband John: his nieces, Brenda Pierce and Lynda Leach. Predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Leander H. Bretz, Jr. Bruce Bretz, and his sister Mary Kay Bretz.
