Faye Violet Sampson

Faye Violet Sampson 99 of Rockford passed away Saturday November 14, 2015 in her granddaughter’s home. She was born August 9, 1916 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Joel and Emilia Quist. She married Arthur “Barney” Laverne Sampson on July 3, 1936 in Rockford. “Neen” as she was known to many, was devoted to her family, friends, and her faith. The way she lived her life and shared her love is an inspiration to those that knew her. Those who knew her will continue to live by her example and share her legacy.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Keith) Forberg. Grandchildren, Steven (Penny) Forberg, David (Wendy) Forberg, Mark (Renee) Forberg, Michelle (Brian) Borkowicz and Pamela (Tony) Jackson. Great grandchildren, Tyler, Hailee, Macie, Kristy, Jeremy, Riley, Kaelen, Briana, Maxwell, Taylor and Maddie. Son-in-law, Anthony DiGiovanni. Sister-in-law, Ruth Quist. Predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia and brother Walter.
Funeral service at 11am Friday November 20, 2105 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 South Mulford Road. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
