Beloved Wife of 65 years to Dr. Nicholas Manno, loving Mother of five children, loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Faith’s radiance was palpable, shown in her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, contagious laugh, and her confidence. In conversation, Faith’s calmness and presence always made you feel at ease, understood, special and valued. Her consistent source of support for family and friends was always available to help us navigate through life’s challenges.
Faith embodied faith. Her commitment to her faith was an inspiration to all. She was firmly grounded in her relationship with God. Faith was an example for all of us of how to live a Christian life well.
“When through one woman a little more love and goodness, a little more light and truth come into the world, then that woman’s life has had meaning.”
Faith managed the Rockford Congressional District from 1981-1991 and was special assistant to the Secretary of Labor in Washington, D.C. from 1991-1993.
Faith was active in Catholic Religious programs including those of Rev. Richard Rohr, OFM, and the Parish Ministry of San Marco Church, Marco Island, FL.
Faith is survived by her beloved husband, Nicholas; her five children, Mary Alicia Swartz, Michael P. Manno (Martha), Thomas R. Manno (Mary), Catherine P. Manno, DVM, and Faith Manno Balsier (Patrick); and her brother, Howard P. Hoeper.
