Evlyn M. Anderson, 91, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family. Evlyn was born June 22, 1917 in Woodford, Wisconsin the daughter of Edward and Margarete (Ryan) Divan. Evlyn moved to Rockford in 1928 and married Henry Anderson April 30, 1938. Evlyn worked for 25 years for Eagle Foods until retiring in 1980, previously having worked at Piggly Wiggly for 5 years and Sears for 2 years. Evlyn loved family gatherings and spending holidays together. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Casinos (Double Diamond Machines), traveling, music and dancing, game shows, cooking, collecting ceramic chickens and was a member of St. Bridget Church and the G-Pac Senior Group in Loves Park. Evlyns family would like to thank Transitions Hospice for their kindness and compassion given to Evlyn and her family. Evlyn is survived by her daughter, Jewel Crawford; grandsons, Wade (Beth) Crawford and Michael Crawford (fianca(c), Stephanie Seaworth great-grandchildren, Jerica and Michael Crawford of Mt. Morris, and Jordan and Alex Crawford of Loves Park and Mackenzie Richards of Loves Park; her sister, La Von Musy and many nieces and nephews. Evlyn was predeceased by her parents; her husband Henry (Feb.11,1984 infant daughter, Karen Anderson (1942 brothers, Harold, Robert, James, David and Floyd Divan; and sisters, Doris Wilson and Inez Divan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Bridget Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Rockford with Rev. Brian Olsen officiating followed by burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19 from 6 8 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. and on Friday from 9 A.M. 9:45 A.M. at the church.
