Evelyn Anaszewicz

Evelyn Anaszewicz, 85, of Loves Park, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born May 16, 1924 in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Peter and Barbara Koster. Graduated high school in Dubuque, IA and went on to marry her loving husband Harry S. Anaszewicz on March 2, 1946. Worked for several years at Cellusuade Products side by side with Harry. Dedicated member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Annes Center. Evelyn enjoyed working in her vegetable garden from which she did her canning. She also found time to travel, go fishing at the family cabin, do a bit of gambling and of course who couldnt find time to shop. After all, she was the self proclaimed queen of shopping. In her later years she became more of a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Martin of Loves Park, Candy (John) Marshall of South Beloit and adopted daughter Gayle Spielman of Rockford; son-in-law, Don Kakara of Florida; grandchildren, Greg (Jenny), Brian, Ami, Kristin, Chris and Liz; great grandchildren, Erica my little angel, Andrew and Adam; grand dogs, Indy and Sabrina and her special friend, Joan Croissant. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry in 2006; daughter, Connie Kakara; granddaughter, Lisa Marshall; siblings, Joseph Koster, Margaret Honkamp, Kay Link, Dorothy Ley and Rosalyn Tigges.



Funeral Mass Friday, December 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation Friday in church from 9 9:45 a.m. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Mausoleum.
