Eugene W. Zweep, 79, Roscoe,nbsp; died in Highview In The Woodlands at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2008 surrounded by his children.nbsp; Born July 27, 1928 in Pecatonica, son of Ben and Annie Becker Zweep.nbsp; Roscoe resident for the past 40 years.nbsp; Married Nora L. Bomgarden in Messiah Lutheran Church in Rockford on November 9, 1950.nbsp; Eugene was a diversified individual who was a farmer, machinist at Sundstrand and heavy equipment operator for Kellys Sand and Gravel, retiring in 2002.nbsp; He loved to work with wood and all things mechanical. nbsp; Survivors include his wife, Nora; children, Marlin (Nina) Zweep, Duane (Donna) Zweep, Gerald (Jonie) Zweep and Marsha (Scott) McGuire; grandchildren, Anna (Mike) Ghidina, Lauren (Richard) Hernandez, Shannon, Aletha and Aaron Zweep.nbsp; Also survived by great-grandchildren, Isabella Ghidina, Addison Hernandez, Cydney and step great-grandson, Mason; sisters, Mary Remmers and Lillian (Tom) Vola; sisters-in-law, Donna (Rich) Pixler, Alice (Jim) Abels and numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, brother and his beloved dog, Bear. The family would like to give a special thank you to Rich and Donna Pixler for their love and generosity and to OSF St. Anthony Hospice for the wonderful care given to Eugene and his family. nbsp; Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 nbsp;in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Brent Dahlseng, Grace Lutheran Church officiating.nbsp; Burial in Willwood Burial Park.nbsp; Visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Thursday.
