Eugene Becker

Eugene Becker, 91 of Rockford, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 after an extended illness. Born Oct. 5, 1918 in Wien, MO., son of William and Katharine Becker. Taught for many years in the Rockford Public Schools. Survivors include his wife Anne; daughter, Christine Becker; sons, James (Michelle) and William (Barbara) Becker; grandchildren, Ian Thomas and Elizabeth Grace and brother, Adrian Becker.  Preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and comfort. Funeral Mass Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Rd.  Visitation Friday in church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for donations to be distributed in his name. Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel is assisting the family.
