Emily Palmer

Emily Palmer, 81 of Rockford, IL and Ft. Myers, FL passed away Monday October 30, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital. She was born in Decatur, IL on December 8, 1935; the daughter of Lolita (Lindsay) and Joseph W. Harper. She married Kenneth D. Palmer, an attorney, on July 2, 1960 in Chicago, IL. She worked in the advertising business there until they moved to Rockford in October of 1960. She is preceded in death by her husband, as well as her two boys, Michael Adams and Mark Adams. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Elisabeth Anne Palmer of Ft. Myers, FL and Rockford, IL, her daughter in-law, Amy Flowers of Powell, OH, and two step-children, Sally Palmer of Murrell’s Inlet, SC, and Robert Palmer of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Brooke Hobbs, Justin Hobbs, Rory Trent Zidel, Logan Palmer, Taylor Palmer, and one great grandchild, Kinley Ann Palmer. In keeping with Emily’s wishes, she is to be cremated and later buried at the family plot in Princeton along with her sweetheart. There will be no visitation or services.
