Eloise Mae Stomberg

Eloise Mae Stomberg, 85, Rockford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at P. A. Peterson at the Citadel after a short illness. She was born November 11, 1936, in Scales Mound, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle (Dykes) Hoke. She was the second of five children. Eloise married the love of her life, Franklin Louis Stomberg, Sr. on April 20, 1957, in Oregon, IL at the Methodist Church. He passed away in Rockford, IL on January 9, 2020.

Survived by her son, Franklin Jr.; her sister, Mary Ann (Hoke) Radue and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Franklin, Sr; her parents, Raymond Hoke and Myrtle (Dykes) Hoke; her siblings, Robert, Richard, and George Hoke.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Reverend Mark Harkness of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
