Elmer J. Jourdain

Elmer John Jourdain of Rockford passed away peacefully at Serenity Home surrounded by love. He just died of old age. Born Sept. 24, 1926 in Chicago, the son of the late Elmer Sr. & Veronica (Trauscht) Jourdain.

Lost his beloved wife Cecilia who died Dec. 24, 2002. Survivors include his Sister, Barbara (Fran) Pendergast, his Children: Daughter Debra (Bud) Berger, Sons Ronald, Jacques (Leslie), and Richard (Sharon). Also, his Grandchildren Michelle (Jon) Lewis, Carolyn (Aaron) Hocking, Suzanne (Landon) Rosenik, Nicolas (Meridith) Jourdain. Great Grandchildren Evan Lewis, Trent Hocking, Penelope and Lane Jourdain. Predeceased by Grandsons Eric & Joel Jourdain, and Great Grandson Jack Lewis. Fond Uncle of many.

His faith and family were very important to him in his life. We will all dearly miss him. As he would say “Que Sera Sera”

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford 61107. A visitation will take place prior to the mass, starting at 10:00 am. Private family burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goldie B.
