Ellen M. Freudenberg

Ellen Mildred Freudenberg, 95, Richmond Hill, New York, peacefully left this earth and passed on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was born December 19, 1922. Ellen was known to many as “Babe” since she was the youngest of six children. She married Marvin Freudenberg on September 9, 1954, and they were blessed with four children, William, Howard, Lillian, and Robert. People will remember Ellen for her willingness to open her home and fill it with engaging conversation over a cup of tea. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ellen is survived by her sons, William and Howard (Karen), her stepdaughter, Marian, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Marvin, her beloved daughter, Lillian and beloved son, Robert; her stepdaughter, Mavis and stepson Marvin.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2001 North Alpine Rd. with Reverend Kenneth Krause officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 P.M. until time of service on Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
