Elizabeth T. Brier

Elizabeth T. Brier, 88, of Rockford, ILnbsp; died Friday, May 20, 2011. Born July 12, 1922 in Roanoke, Virginia the daughter of Marvin and Rosa (Quisenberry) Taylor. Married her loving husband Burgess B. Brier and after raising her family went back to college and received her Masters Degree in Library Science. She worked in upstate New York as a librarian for years before retiring and eventually moving to Rockford.nbsp; She is a member of the Episcopal Church and was an avid reader and loved knitting and writing poetry. Survivors include her sons, Burgess (Teresa) Brier of Sandy, Utah and Stewart (Peggy) Brier of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Jessica Suzanne, Albert and Diana Brier and her first cousin, Vera Sackett of Lynchburg, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Burgess in 2002. At the familys request, all services will be private.
