Elizabeth S. Suters

Elizabeth S. Suters, 87, of Rockford passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 in Wesley Willows. Born July 12, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Earl S. and Florence E. (Bennett) Suters. Elizabeth received a Bachelor in Science from Northern Illinois University and a Master in Science from Purdue University. She taught chemistry at West High School for 26 years. Elizabeth was a former member of Court Street United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Rockford Womens Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Sigma Delta Epsilon, Sigma Xi, American Chemical Society and the Wesley Willows Womens Auxiliary.   Survivors include her sister Florence B. Erdmann, three nephews, one niece and four great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.   A Memorial Service will be held in Wesley Willows, 4141 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103, Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Brian J. Kenney officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wesley Willows Good Samaritan Fund, 4141 N.
