Elizabeth Josephine Betty Cassaro, 82 of Rockford, died on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at P.A. Peterson Home. Born November 14, 1924 in Rockford, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Ditto) Sartino. Married her loving husband Al Cassaro on April 27, 1947. Betty and Al owned 7th St. Liquor Store for over 50 years. Members of Holy Family Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at P.A. Peterson Home, especially those on the ground floor for all of their kind and loving care.nbsp; Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Al Cassaro, daughter, Barbara J. (Scott) Payne; son, Chuck (Nada) Cassaro; grandchildren, Cameron and Connor Cassaro and Daniel and Angela Dammann. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11:00 with Rev. Andrew Hougan officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, March 5, 2007 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:45 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at church from 9-11 a.m. Memorial may be made in her name to Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, ILnbsp; 61107.
