Elizabeth A. Dibenedetto

Elizabeth A. DiBenedetto, 86, of Rockford, died, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born September 27, 1923 in Rockford, daughter of Vincenzo and Vincenza (Ferro) Genovese. Survivors include her children; Lydia Schafer and Russell (Pam) DiBenedetto; grandchildren, Phillip DiBenedetto, Lori (Karl) Holzhueter, Richard DiBenedetto, Tina (Dave) Lockhart, Bobby (Linda) Schafer, Stacy (Rick) White, Drue Schafer, Mary (Dave) Hocking and Amy DiBenedetto; 13 great grandchildren and a nephew. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Genovese; sister, Veronica Wojcik; nephew, Vincent Durante and son, Phillip C. DiBenedetto. A special thank you to her cousin, Annette Messina and nephew, Carl Durante, for all their loving kindness through the years.  Also, thank you to Amberwood Nursing Home staff and Rockford Memorial Hospital staff for their care and compassion. All services will be private at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel, and burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
