Eleanor "Ellie" Turbyville

Eleanor “Ellie” Turbyville, 84, of Rockford, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 9, 2017, with her loved ones at her side. Ellie was born in Canton, Ohio on January 15, 1933; to parents, Bertalo and Assunta “Susie” (Miami) Andaloro. She married Frank Turbyville, Jr. on February 2, 1957 in Rockford, and they spent 10 years together before Franks passing on August 19, 1967. Ellie was remarried to Mario Marsili, and they spent 18 years together before he passed on March 5, 2016. Ellie was very accomplished in many aspects of her life. She was an educated woman, working as a Chemist for Pierce Chemical Company and later for the Sundstrand Corporation. She loved and supported the local arts and music community through her involvement with the Rockford Dance Company. Ellie was an avid golfer and bridge player, and most of all she loved her family. Her grandchildren will remember her as “Nonna”, and her family will remember her for the love and care that she gave. Ellie’s love and passion for life and all things, will be remembered always.

Ellie is survived by her children, Francis (Lisa) Turbyville of Rockford, Jerome (Jean) Turbyville of Chicago, Margaret (Noel) Rennerfeldt of Clarksville, TN, Eva Turbyville of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth (Lee Scanlon) Cooper of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Arielle Rojek, Francis Turbyville, Hassel Cooper, Piper Rennerfeldt, Emma Turbyville, Carlo Francis Turbyville; sister in-law, Louise (Leroy) Shipwash, brother in-law, Jerry (Joan) Turbyville; and special niece, Susan Andaloro.

She is predeceased by her husbands, and brother, Burt Andaloro.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108.
