Eleanor "Ellie" C. Weinbender

Eleanor “Ellie” C. Weinbender, 94, Rockford, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born November 10, 1928, in Chicago, the daughter of Marco and Catherine (Devitt) Marcozan. She married Joseph “Joe” J. Weinbender on June 13, 1953. He passed away in Rockford on June 10, 2019.

Ellie worked as a bookkeeper for Baskin Clothing Company for many years until her retirement. She loved the time she spent with her family and friends. During the holidays she loved making fudge, pumpkin and zucchini bread and passing it out to family and friends. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her and will be missed dearly.

Survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Joe, her parents, and her brother James Marcozan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL.
