Eileen Huston

Eileen Huston, 64, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Swedish American Hospital, surrounded by family. Born August 31, 1959 in Rockford, the daughter of John and Ellen McHugh. Graduate of Boylan Catholic High School. She attended Rock Valley College and Lakeland College, and graduated from Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Eileen served as a home health care nurse, as well as at the Winnebago County Health Department. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was passionate about gardening, music, photography, and spending time with her loved ones. Eileen married Alan Huston in Rockton, IL on September 29, 1990, and they lived in Rockford. 

She is preceded by her parents, John and Ellen McHugh, and is survived by her husband, Alan, son Joshua (Rockford), and siblings Theresa Palmershein (St. Paul, MN), Mary Lane (St. Paul, MN), John McHugh (Camus,WA), Hugh McHugh (Chicago, IL) and Kathleen Reese (New Palestine,IN), along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Mardini and Eileen’s kind and passionate caregivers at Swedish American Regional Cancer Center in Rockford.
