Eileen Brandlein, 88, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on August 17, 2021. Jesus has called her Home.
Eileen was born in December of 1932 in Chicago, IL to Paul and Mae Jones. She married Dr. Harold C. Brandlein in June of 1955. Eileen was a devoted wife and mother of five children. The love for her family and her generosity were unsurpassed. Eileen was an active, faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church for more than 55 years. She was a lifetime member of Catholic Women's League and Holy Family Women's Guild. She prepared thousands of rosary kits for the women of Mary’s Messengers Rosary Group. Eileen devoutly attended the annual Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh, WI for over 20 consecutive years.
Eileen was blessed to travel the world with her husband of 54 years. They shared a trifecta of favorite getaways: Sarasota FL, Door County WI, and their home in Rockford, IL.
Survived by her children, Jeff (Cindy) Brandlein, Nancy (David) Muskat, Dr. Diane Brandlein, Marianne (Lance) Miller, Barbara (Robert) Beckett; her grandchildren Lisa (Joseph) Hess, Tracy (Thomas) Bowman, Kelly (Alex) Wagman, Julie Muskat, Carl (Kathryn) Miller, Ellen Miller, Mark Miller, Katherine (Michael) Dazzo, Kevin Beckett, Kyle (Lauren) Beckett, Zeb (Breanna) Brandlein, Jolene Brandlein; her great grandchildren Grace, Claire, David & Henry Bowman, Emily & Matthew Hess, Thea Dazzo; her sister Ruth Guercio and brother William Jones, Sr.; her cousins, John (Clara) Littau, Marianne Littau, Katherine Bell. She is predeceased by her loving husband Harold; their infant son; her parents Paul & Mae Jones; brother Paul David Jones; special friend and adopted family member Monsignor Michael Binsfeld.
A visitation will be on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial to take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Winnebago, IL.
