Edwin E. Moser, born January 18, 1921, Rockford, IL, passed June 19, 2021, son of George and Leona (Spiess) Moser. Ed attended St. Pat’s, then St. Thomas High School, met his love and friend for life Marguerite Wagner at the ING Skating Rink, and celebrated 75 years of marriage. A WWII Navy engineer, he served on LCI #1088 in the Pacific Theater, survived the battle of Okinawa, cleared mines from Tokyo Harbor, then returned to Marguerite to raise their children. He worked as a tool & die maker for Barber-Colman Co., formed a partnership creating Mo-Mac Manufacturing, account manager for The Brearley Company, then founded his last business Allied Molded Products.
During his lifetime he was a parishioner of St. James and Holy Family Churches, member of CFM, Wagon Wheel Resort, numerous dance and social clubs, Spring Run Club, Macktown and Ledges golf leagues, British Boots & Bonnets, the Anvil Club and Friday lunch club at Shari’s Place.
Pre-deceased by his parents; wife, Marguerite; sister, Violet (Joseph) Schoening. Survived by his brothers, George (Mary) Moser, Moser and Schoening nieces and nephews; his children, Dr. Tom Moser, Karen Moser Cantrell, Dr. John Moser, Nancy Moser Friel, James (MaryBeth) Moser, Carol (Mark) Schaal; his grandchildren, Chris Cantrell, John, Jennifer, Jessica and Blake (Alyssa) Moser, Carley (Brent) Smyth, Sarah (Danielle) Simpson, Michael Friel, Alex, Madeleine and James Schaal; his great-grandchildren, Bethany Moser, Adler Moser, and Weston Smyth.

Visitation will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, IL 61107, on June 28, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00a.m. Funeral Mass to follow visitation.
