Edward "Ed" B. Bick Iii

Edward B. Bick III, 52, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on July 4, 2022. Born in Rockford on October 18, 1969 son to Edward and Pauletta (Hon) Bick II. Edward was a proud “Friend of Bill W.” for 9 years, and was honored to be a great inspiration, role model and mentor to others. Ed could often be found enjoying his time with his family. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews; fond memories for them range from day adventures to Turtle Creek to playing catch in the living room. A sports fanatic, he was a proud fan of the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame. He also enjoyed talking with his sister-in-law about different types of recipes for food so he could them out later in the kitchen or enjoying a good meal in the company of friends and family at local restaurants. He was proud to be going to the gym again and had dedicated a few times a week to becoming healthier. Ed had a great appreciation for music and his family will lovingly remember him through the songs that he always loved to listen to.
He will be missed by those who loved him most, his father Edward B. Bick II; his brother Aaron (Ashley) Bick; his beloved nieces and nephews Amanda (Donvan Woodlif) Kalan-Bick, Alyssa, Morgan, Liam, Gavin, Walter and Hazel. He is predeceased by his mother Pauletta and sister Tereasa Bick.
A celebration of Ed’s life will take place on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108.
