Edward "Butch" P. Schuller

Edward “Butch” P. Schuller, 71, South Beloit, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 21, 1952, in Ellwood City, PA, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Paul) Schuller. Butch married his wife, Denise Schuller, on May 19, 1984, she passed away on January 19, 2016. He worked as a machine repairman for Zenith Cutters for many years until his retirement. He attended Faith Community Church - Stateline. He loved to spend time with his family as he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dad had a passion for his Lionel trains and watching his westerns, especially John Wayne and the Lone Ranger. Tinkering and finding some way to improve anything he thought needed improvement could take up his whole day with enjoyment. He would take the grandkids for day trips at the train park and wait for trains to come by. Above all he forever adored his wife, his daughters, and his grandchildren. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Mercy Cardiology and Mercy Hospice and to the staff at Fair Oaks Health Care Center for their generosity and care they provided for our dad.

Butch is survived by his daughters, Megan, Courtney, and Rachel Schuller; his beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Kaylie, Maci, Maxwell, Adriannia, Joseph, and Ryder; his sisters, Beth Ann (Steve) Wyszomierski, and Karen Schuller; his brothers, Dean Schuller and Jamie (René Baldwin) Schuller; his nephews, Ross and Mark Wyszomierski; and his special friend, Cliff Strong. He is predeceased by his wife and parents.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave, Rockford IL, 61103, with Pastor Dayv Raleigh officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
