Edna M. Cooper

Edna M. Cooper, 93, of Rockford passed away on August 24, 2009 in Bickford House in Rockford. Born July 28, 1916 in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of Jacob and Katie (Reigle) Ditzler. Edna grew up in the Dixon, Polo area before moving to the Rockford area. She married Arthur Cooper on January 25, 1938.  Survivors include her daughters Marlene (H.D.) Estes, Mary (Terry) Anderson, Mindy Ambrose (fianca© Randy Goodrich), Pam (Pat) Lafferty, three sisters, many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Arthur in 1995 and three brothers and one sister.  The family wishes to thank the staff at the Bickford House and Heartland Hospice for all their loving care shown to our mother.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103 with the Rev. Dr. George E. David of Aldersgate United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Willwood Burial Park.
