Edith "Edie" Dickson

Edith “Edie” Dickson, 82, Rockford, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on January 16, 2017, surrounded by her family following a short battle with cancer. She was born November 15, 1934, in Kentucky, the daughter of Don and Dixie Couch. Edie worked as a nurse at Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing Home for over 20 years.
Survived by her loving husband Thomas Dickson; her daughter, Shelley (Robin) Burger of Texas; her son, Edward Grimsley of Hawaii: her grandson, James (Megan) Matthews of Rockford; her great-grandsons, Justin, Brandon and Titus; her brothers, Robert Couch of Oklahoma, George Couch of California, and Jesse (Sue) Couch of Michigan; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Paul. Her family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
