Dr. Kenneth Scott Stone

Dr. Kenneth Stone, 54, of Rockford passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born August 5, 1961 in Ottawa, Il to Marvin and Melita Stone and married to Dr. Judith Runne on June 6, 1987. He practiced podiatry in Freeport, Il for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend and he will be dearly missed. While his death leaves a heartache no one can heal, his love leaves a memory no one can steal. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Judith Runne; daughter Amanda; son Michael; parents Marvin and Melita Stone; mother-in-law Nellie Runne; brothers, Steve and Randy (Kristin) Stone; brothers-in-law Dr. Thomas (Dr. Joan) Runne, and Dr. William (Aoi) Runne; sister-in-law Dr. Barbara (Lawrence) Theobald; nephews Ryan Stone, John Runne, and Joseph and Lee Theobald; and nieces Olivia, Isabel, and Amelia Runne.

Funeral service will be 11AM, Monday, September 14, 2015; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108, with Pastor Randy Young officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11AM on Monday before the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ken’s family, to be determined at a later time.
