Douglas J. Proctor, 56, of Rockford, died Wednesday.

Doug was a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan and was wearing his Cardinals shirt when he died. But he loved nothing more than his nephew, J.B. Mantz, whom Doug treated as his own son. J.B. and his wife, Lisabeth, live in Chicago.
Doug was also a loving little brother to his sister, Barb (Bernie) Drake in Peoria, who regarded Doug as another son. Other survivors include Doug's special uncle, Bill (Pat) Proctor, in Parkman, Ohio; nephews Todd (Janet) Drake in Denver, CO, and Brent (Maria) Drake in West Lafayette, IN; and many beloved aunts and cousins. He treasured family gatherings.
