We are heartbroken to announce the death our father, Douglas Scott Davis. He passed away peacefully at the age of 62, surrounded by his family and friends.
Doug was born on February 1, 1962, in Pana, Illinois, the son of Earl and Wanda (Vermillion) Davis.
Doug enjoyed camping, bowling, spending time with family and friends, working on things in the garage and house and was always cracking jokes.
Doug leaves behind his daughter and son, Tiffany and Matthew Davis; grandchildren, Lucas and Laynie, brothers, Steve (Karen) Davis, Phil Davis; sister, Carol Wiechman; brother-in-law, Greg Swigert; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Earl (Wanda) Davis; infant son, Michael and sister, Ruth Swigert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Burial will conclude immediately following at Arlington Memorial Park, Rockford, IL.
