Douglas Andrew “Cadillac” Golden, 61

Rockford - Douglas Andrew “Cadillac” Golden, 61, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Born September 27, 1954 in Rockford, the son of Andrew and Katherine (Dean) Golden. He attended Rockford Public Schools. He married Margaret Knutson in Rockford on September 27, 1996. He worked for MTE Hydraulics for over 21 years. Douglas holds a record of 17 1/2 years a perfect work attendance with the company. He loved cooking and grilling out, sport shooting with his son Douglas and friends, and avid car fan especially the Cadillac’s, in addition a WWE Fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and his dog Midnight.

Survivors include wife, Margaret; sons, Douglas M. and Donavan M. Golden; sisters Teresa Golden and Laeti Golden, numerous nieces nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by parents, grandparents, and infant son David in 2002.

Services will be 12 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until time of service. Private burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for an education fund for his son Donavan. Arrangements made by Fitzgerald funeral home, 3910 N.
