Dorothy (Dot) Mae Burger Aspenleiter Saichek, 100 of Rockford died February 5, 2010 in River Bluff Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born February 3, 1910 in Sterling, IL. Daughter of Melvin and Mamie (Childs) Burger. Married Jacob Aspenleiter June 18, 1931.

Survivors include; brother, Raymond Morris; children, Jeane Perlinger, Joan (Jack) Saichek, and Jack (Lana) Aspenleiter; 8 grandchildren, Randy (Cher) Perlinger, Cheryl (Lyle) Page, Brian Perlinger, Steven (Michelle) Saichek, Susan Leombruni, Jill Alms, Connie (Gerud) Elson and Bob Aspenleiter; 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her brother Laurence Burger, husband Jacob V. Aspenleiter, second husband Harold Saichek, sister-in-law Mildred Morris, son-in-law Ed Perlinger, grandson Scott Perlinger, and 3 Schnauzers Ginger, Gigi and Kelly.

Besides dogs, Dot loved dancing, bowling, cooking, baking and No. Brett Favre (her walker was decorated in green and gold). At age 83, she was still driving, dog at her side, Nebraska to Rockford to visit her family. She worked variously as a telephone operator, Avon lady, saleslady and manager of a womens apparel shop. Volunteer work included driving people to church, helping with blood drives at the Red Cross and making blintzes at Temple Beth El. Her favorite times were spent enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private graveside service at East Jordan Cemetery, Polo, IL.
