Dorothy Bosi

Dorothy Bosi, 88, of Rockford passed away on October 11, 2015 at Bickford Assisted Living. Dorothy was born on April 30, 1927 in Rockford to John and Josephine (Macchi) Marzorati. She graduated from West High School and worked as a secretary at the law firm of Smith & Sype. She married Joe Bosi on September 27, 1947. Dorothy and Joe worked together at their family businesses, C & C Manufacturing, Inc. and Rockford Air Devices, Inc. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Bernadette and a volunteer in the gift shop at St. Anthony Hospital for many years. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. She loved to bake and was well known for her chocolate chip cookies and apple pies.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, Joe, on June 19, 2013. She is survived by her
daughter, Susan (Dan) Wecker of Farmington Hills, Michigan; son, Scott (Laura) Bosi of Rockford;
grandchildren, Jennifer and Nicholas Wecker, Benjamin and Jacob Bosi; sister-in-laws, Mickey Eversole
of Rockford and Frances Marzorati of Bettendorf, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her parents and brothers, Ernest and John Marzorati.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave with visitation from 9:00-10:15 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friendship Circle of Michigan, 6892 West Maple Road, W.
