Doris June Marohl

Doris “June” Marohl, 84, of Rockford, went home to be with her family, Wednesday, November 5th, 2014. Born, September 15, 1930, in Vandalia, IL to parents Albert and Bessie Boaz. Doris married Gordon Marohl on June 19, 1965 in Loves Park, IL. Doris enjoyed many things in life, including, baking, planting flowers, her dogs Skipper and Coco, but most importantly she loved chocolate donuts! Doris is survived by husband, Gordon; daughters, April (David) Richardson nee Marohl, and Vicki (Mack) Isom; grandchildren, Keith Feltz, Michael and Melissa Isom, all of Rockford, and Rita Higgins, of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Betty Howe of Ocala, FL; six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Doris is predeceased by her parents, her four brothers, and three of her sisters. Doris’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Rosewood Care Center, Heartland Hospice, and CNA Shereece Gordan, who treated Doris as her own mother. Memorial service will be Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, with Pastor David Spooner officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, and 10 a.m. til time of service on Saturday.
