Doris Ann Geiger

Doris A. Geiger, 90, of Rockford passed away surrounded by her family in her home. She was born on January 31, 1927 in Wauconda, IL, the daughter of William and Mary (Novak) Dobrick. For many years she served as the chief cook for the local schools and corporations. She was a life member of the Blackhawk Field Archers. Doris had a wonderful sense of adventure and never missed an opportunity to travel. She enjoyed cross country skiing, softball, and anything that kept her outdoors. Most importantly, she was a devoted to her family.

She is survived by her sons, Kerry (Cheryl) Geiger, Larry (Diane) Geiger, and Kurt Geiger; her grandchildren, Andrea, Erica, Stephanie, Amanda, and Michelle; 10 great grandchildren; sister Florence "Sis" (Charlie) Monk. She is predeceased by her parents, and 5 brothers and sisters.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. Inurnment private.
