Donna S. White

Donna S. White, 73, passed away in her home in Rockford, Illinois on December 30, 2021. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on October 16, 1949 daughter to Otis and Olar Lee (Carpenter) Craig. A 1967 graduate of Brookland High School in Arkansas, within that same year Donna moved to Rockford, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Alfred White, on September 21, 1968. Donna was the type of person who gave everything she had to everything she was a part of. She constantly helped others and if she had a single ounce of energy, it had a place to go. Avid about her faith, you could often find her reading biblical books and taking notes, as well as being active with her church, last being a parishioner at 20th street missionary Baptist church. She had loved to garden and plant flowers at home, as well as travel with her family until she unfortunately declined in health. Her constant love and support will be missed by all that knew her.

She will be missed by those who loved her most, her husband of 53 years, Alfred; her daughter Lehonna Kennedy; her grandchildren Shianne and Niklas Kennedy; siblings Patsy Coverdell, Sandra Jo (Terry) Passmore and Roy (Jean) Craig; beloved dogs Prada, Gunner and Venom. She is predeceased by her parents; brothers James, Dwayne and Charles Craig; her sisters Peggy Clairday, Linda Linderman, and Glenda Cole as well as a beloved dog, Mack.

A service will take place for Donna on Saturday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. A visitation will take place the same day at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
