Donna Jo Borrett

Donna Jo Borrett, 68, of Rockford, IL passed away on December 5, 2021. She was born in Rockford, IL on August 23, 1953 to Walter and Jo Marie (Williford) Hopper. Donna graduated from Harlem High School in 1971. She married Raymond Lee Borrett on May 20, 1972. Donna and Lee owned and operated Underground Services in Rockford, IL and Egg Harbor Fun Park in Door County, WI. She loved to travel and looked forward to her annual trips with her two sisters. One of her favorite vacations was in Alaska with her husband. She enjoyed reading, history, birds, and listening to music. Donna loved her animals and always cared about her neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Shannon Borrett; her siblings, Catherine Crawford, Owen Hopper and Evelyn Petersen; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee; her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Per Donna’s wishes there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Donna’s name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the American Cancer Society.
