Donald L. Capriotti

Donald L. "Cap" Capriotti, 80, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 after a short illness at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon. Born November 21, 1932 in Rochester, MN; the son of Guido and Mafalda (Sartori) Capriotti. He served in the United States Army. Donald was a History teacher at Lincoln Middle School for many years. He was a longtime member of the Venetian Club. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and a good book.

Survived by his daughters, Lisa (Vic) Angileri and Lara McKinney, both of Rockford; grandchildren, Collin and Erin McKinney; and ex-wife, Suzanne Capriotti. Predeceased by his parents.

Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice & Home, 1658 S. Illinois Route 2, Oregon, Illinois 61061.
