Donald H Gray

Donald H. Gray, 76, of Esmond passed away Monday, December 7, 2015. Born March 24, 1939, in Marcus, Iowa, the son of Donald E. and Della (Juhl) Gray. Donald married JoAnn Schmidt on December 17, 1960 in Elgin. He was a train master for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. He was an amateur Ham Radio operator and past Vice President of the Kishwaukee Ham Radio Club. For the past 10 years, Donald and JoAnn have been involved with rescuing dogs. Donald was a motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, both buying and selling as well as refurnishing antique furniture.
Survived by his wife, JoAnn; children, Donald S. (Leslie) Gray of Clinton, Iowa and Lori (James) Kilchermann of Lyons, Michigan; grandson, Justin Gray of Kansas City, Missouri and brother, Dennis (Kay Cameron) Gray and Darrell Gray. Predeceased by his parents and brother, David Gray.
