Donald D. Chandler

Donald D. Chandler, 79, of Monroe Center, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Born on April 17, 1938 in Garden Prairie, IL; he was the son of David and Alma (Brohammer) Chandler. He married Rose Marie Lind on December 30, 1960, who preceded him in death on October 21, 1982. He later married Connie Dawley on January 2, 1988.
A U.S. Marine Corp veteran, Donald was employed for over 40 years as a Local 150 heavy machine operator, retiring in 2002.
He enjoyed family, traveling and living on his farm with his animals.
Donald is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter, Tammy (Brian) Hilden; sons, Tyler (Brenda) Chandler and Timothy (Tammy Bernard) Chandler; step-daughter, Kay Dawley; step-son, Robert Dawley; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Kenny Baars.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Goldie.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
