Donald C. Kelley, 94, of Plainfield, passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in Edwards Hospital, Naperville. Born on October 22, 1913 in Franklin Grove, IL; the son of Charles B. Kelley and Clara Albrecht. He married Adeline Meta Schoewer on April 9, 1940 in Rockford, IL. They were the first couple married at the present Redeemer Lutheran Church/ Don worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 41 years. He is a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mt. Prospect and was a past member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rockford. Don sang in the choir and was a past member of the mens club at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Adeline of Plainfield, IL; son, Charles Kelley of Naperville; daughter, Judy Birschbach of Greenwood Village, CO; grandchildren, Christine (Tom) Garrison, Rachel (Lonnie) Conditt, Eric (Melissa) Biewenga, Christopher Birschbach, Kelley Birschbach; great-grandchildren, Matthew Garrison, Kelley Jane Garrison, Jacob Conditt and Lauren Conditt; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, mother and father-in-law, brother-in-law, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 16th Street, Rockford, IL 61104 with Rev. Paul C. Bruns , Rev. Stephen Klemp and Rev. Dan Teller officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m (noon) until time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 W.
